Here's a little more about Sunday mornings.
What's a Sunday morning experience like?
Begin your week with God at Gateway. Our services are at 9AM and 11AM and usually last one hour and 15 minutes.
There is plenty of parking when you arrive. When you walk through the doors, you’ll be greeted by a few people in our community. We invite you to find a seat in our multi-purpose room for contemporary worship, accompanied by a message from one of our pastors or teachers.
What do my kids do on Sunday mornings?
If you have young kids, we will guide you to our kids' check-in area. We offer a children’s ministries serving kids (infants to 5th grade) called KidzTown that occurs during our Sunday services. If you are new, feel free to pre-register your child to help with the check-in process when you arrive at Gateway. Your kids are always welcome in KidzTown or they can join you in the multi-purpose room for our worship gathering. Read more about our kids' ministries.
Once a month, our preschool and elementary kids join their parents in the multi-purpose room for our Family Worship Service. This gives kids the opportunity to see and experience corporate worship.
If you have a middle school student, we offer 9AM middle school programs on Sunday mornings. Read more about our youth ministries.
If you have high school students, they can attend our Sunday morning service. They are also welcome to join our high school program on Sunday evenings. Read more about our youth ministries.
What should I wear?
We are a casual church. Jeans and t-shirts are the norm around here. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!
What’s worship like?
We love music and we aren’t afraid to show it. Most Sundays, you’ll find a full band on stage. But every now and then, we’ll mix it up with more acoustic or creative sets.
People worship with a wide variety of expressiveness. We invite you to worship in the way that feels most authentic to you, whether that's raising your hands, clapping, dancing, or quiet contemplation.
What's the sermon like?
Usually, our pastors teach from a specific Bible passage. We learn about the context, content, and importance of the stories in scripture and how they relate to our lives. Sermons usually last 30-45 minutes.
What other things may happen during the service?
We practice communion once a month. Communion means "sharing." We remember Christ's body broken for us and his blood shed for the forgiveness of our sins. On certain Sundays, we'll celebrate baptisms and child dedications.
